Our selection panel will be reviewing all the applications in the coming weeks and will contact shortlisted artists by the end of March. We will announce the successful applicants in May.

EXPERIMENTA IN ADELAIDEAnimated Building Adelaide

Experimenta's Jen and Clare visited Adelaide at the end of February to check out the Adelaide Fringe and attend an artists' talk by Tracey Moffatt at the Anne & Gordon Samstag Museum of Art as part of Stop(the)Gap: International Indigenous art in motion which is showing until 21 April. They liked the animated building (the picture to the right) but are not sure of the artist behind the work - if you know the artist we'd love to hear from you. Jen and Clare also enjoyed a couple of short films at bus stop U21 on North Terrace, which was installed as part of this years BigPond Adelaide Film Festival. February/March is huge in Adelaide.

EXPERIMENTA IN SINGAPORETatzu Nishi, The Merlion Hotel, 2011

Experimenta's Curator Abigail has been in Singapore since last week attending the Singapore Biennale. This years' biennale is titled "Open House" and presents 63 artists, both emerging and established, from all around the world. Some of the artworks are being shown for the first time at one of the Biennale's four venues, Singapore Art Museum and 8Q, National Museum of Singapore and Old Kallang Airport. Abigail has been busy seeking out media artworks as well as attending artist talks and meetings with galleries and museums. We're looking forward to hearing about the scene in Singapore once she's back.
