The Summer issue of L'Officiel Art is on sale on the opening day
of Art Basel 2012.
During the summer, everything moves at a
faster pace, events multiply across the world. It is during this moment of
discovery and research that L'Officiel Art publishes its 2nd issue,
proposing to its reader to enter and share a moment of cultural
excitement.

the new Iranian art scene.

contradictions: what would the dream museum look like? L'Officiel Art takes over Malraux's concept of imaginary museum,
through the eyes of an important personality. Guillaume Durand, the
cultured man of the television, journalist, anchorman on "Radio Classique"
and "France 2," renowned for his passion for contemporary art and
literature, accepted to play the game with us.
Larry
Clark: interviewed by Pierre-Paul Pulitz at the Grand Hotel
Tribeca. Photographer, artist, and filmmaker Larry Clark explains what
brought him to Marfa and what inspired his new project, Marfa
Girl. Clark wrote, directed, and filmed his new work, which he
considers to be his best production.
Sex, Race, Religion
and Money: the world in 4 words. Jérôme Sans
interviewed Gilbert and George on their new series London
Pictures shown simultaneously across the world. A collection of
3712 posters bearing the newspaper headlines, catalogued according to their
key words, and presented with a black-and-white palette and the key words
in bright red. The result is a true image of the violence that is part
of all the big cities across the world. London Pictures is a picture
of New York, Paris, Durban, Moscow…
James
Franco, an artist in Hollywood. Actor and novelist James
Franco recently presented his latest feature film, Rebel, inspired
by La Fureur de vivre.
