Retro Price Rewind at Game Masters

All-you-can-play for $10

  Feature Image
Arcade Heroes, Game Changers and Indies

The dudes were gnarly, the fashion freaky (whether you wore happy pants or ra-ra skirts) - it was the eighties and we could relate. $10 got you and a friend into the movies and your Dad's mo' was badder than any poor excuse from a modern-day hipster. Sure, one day we'll look back with fond memories of our post-GFC haze, when these days seemed comparatively easy, but the eighties will also hold a totally rad spot in our scrunchie-bound hearts.

To awaken the nostalgia and transport you to this happy place, we suggest starting with a few arcade heroes. Round up all the other kids in their pumped-up kicks and get yourselves down to Game Masters for August Retro Fridays. $10 will get you into the exhibition and you won't need a single 20c piece to get your game on - all 125+ games, including ace classics like Pac-Man (1980) and Asteroids (1979), right through to game-changers and indie hits Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), SimCity (1989), Angry Birds (2009) and Minecraft (2011) are playable.

These retro prices are only available on Friday 17, 24 and 31 August, from 10am to 10pm, so you should most definitely bust a move ASAP because the Game Masters exhibition is kickin'.
