We can't deny the buzz that Game Masters is causing at ACMI, but the exhibition
isn't the only reason you should be here! There are loads of talks, live events and creative workshops to
complement your exhibition experience, not to mention films
about games and films that inspired games. You can work on an 8-bit game
soundtrack, get your game collection valued, or build your own mobile game
app. We also have a seleciton of events for the whole family. Games: A
Family Affair is a free and innovative event that will be
held on Sunday 19 August. Filled with heaps of fun things to see and do,
you won't want to miss these family-friendly, interactive activities and
creative workshops.
To keep things buzzing along, we've got some awesome local
talent lined up as part of our Late Bit program. Levelled Up
- Versus is the next event on the Late Bit calendar and will
feature Space Cactus, Geurre and Two Bright Lakes DJs as they deliver an
experimental evening from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday 26 July. Pitting nerd
versus cool, game versus art or sound versus music, this session will
divide and conquer your senses.
Check out the website for more information on all the films, events and workshops designed to take you and
the world of games to a whole new level.
Don't forget we're staying up late every Thursday and Friday
with the exhibition open until 10pm, so drop by after work and challenge
your boss to a dance-off at Dance Central 2! Game Masters is open until 28 October.
