Through the lens of feminism, fetishism, surrealism and psychoanalysis, listen to the doyens pull at the seams of Pat Brassington: À Rebours

With Sexologist, Cyndi Darnell, writer, social commentator and co-author of The Great Feminist Denial, Monica Dux and Psychoanalyst, Milena Mirabelli.
Chaired by: Dr Anne Marsh, Professor of Art Theory (Art Design & Architecture, Monash University) and author of Pat Brassington: This is Not a Photograph (2006)

DARK MATTER
Wednesday 5 September, 6-9pm
A late night bar and gallery opening to see Sculptural Matter and Pat Brassington: À Rebours. Join Melbourne VJ’s Eugenia Lim and Jessie Scott performing two stunning visual sets experimenting with cinema and sound, photography and form, with DJs Lauren Taylor and Simon Winkler (Breaking and Entering/RRR). The gallery and bar will be open from 5pm. Free.

Sculptural & Life Drawing
Wednesday 12 September, 6-8pm
To coincide with the exhibition this un-tutored drawing class lets you put your hand to both life drawing and observational drawing in the gallery. Paper, pencils, charcoal and wine will be provided. Supported by Rossdale. $20 Bookings essential.
